McDonalds McNuggets & Fries (yum)

One day, while driving with Soph, Pipey & Kristen, we went to our favorite (well one of our favorite...) places-McDonalds! While Sophie was eating her nuggets I looked back and saw that she had generously shared one of her nuggets with Khloe. Most surprising was that Khloe used her two little chipmunk teeth to gnaw it down. So now, on occassion, we let her eat some fries and nuggets. We recently discovered she also loves to dip her fries in ketchup.

Cape Cod

Finally Wes finished his last test. Now he's on to his 6-week internship, but (hooray!) before it started we had some days with him all to ourselves. We took advantage of this opportunity and headed down to Cape Cod for the day.

First we stopped in Chatham. It is the most ridiculously quaint town I have ever been in. We loved it! We checked out this adorable toy store, bought some over priced (but still yummy!)
candy and headed down to the marina. There we found a delicious fish market where we shared some fish & chips.
Then we headed on to Eastham. Nauset Light is a beautiful beach there and Khloe got her first experience in the sand and water. After a while we brought out the paper bags of candy. It didn't take Khloe long to figure out what was inside the bags. The rest of the day she was digging in the diaper bag trying to get to the candy before we stopped her. The next day I snuck a left-over piece and as soon as she heard the crinkle she dropped everything and came crawlin.

Corn-on-the-Cob

Another first: Corn on the cob. And she loved it!

Destruct-o

Khloe has (rightfully) acquired a new nickname around our house - Destructo. Since we came back from Oregon, and while we were in Oregon, she began to wreak havoc wherever she went. She is so interested in taking things apart or taking things out. Like all the tuperware lids out of my mom's tuperware drawer or, as shown here :), all the laundry out of the basket. But seriously, don't I have enough to do and a hard enough time doing it all without folding the laundry three times because she has, yet again, pulled it onto the floor?!

Gone to Or-i-gone

Okay, really Oregon but it only rhymes if you say it like a New Englander. :) My mama turned 50 on April 14th (I know, I know... she doesn't look a day over 40!). And my dad and I arranged it well ahead of time as a surprise. Every time I talked to her I'd nearly spill the beans. But we all managed to keep the secret. Khloe and I arrived on the 13th at midnight and snuck downstairs to bed. I hid all the evidence of us except Khloe's bottle front and center in the fridge. When mom and Ethan got up in the morning to have breakfast there it was!

Unfortunately I did a lousy job of picture-documenting the trip. Here is what I did catch:

Khloe riding the wheeled bear. She loved it. My favorite is the tune Ethan is humming.

Khloe seeing the chickens up close and personal. She wasn't really sure what to think.
Don't you love how the have the exact same expression? LOL.
Khloe enjoys a See's Vanilla sucker. One of my mom's favorites too.

And she got TWO teeth while we were there. Here's the first one just barely peeking through.
